Tasted blind. Med lemon with a gold hue. Med+ to pronounced aromas of bruised yellow apple, apple sauce, gingerbread, ripe lemon, honey and almond. No new oak. Developing (+). Dry, w/ med to med+ acidity, med alcohol (13%) w/ a slightly creamy oily mouthfeel and grapefruit-like bitterness on the finish. Med+ body, intensity, length and complexity. Drinking well now and with a few years left.
This seems like an Old World, moderate climate wine. The lack of oak, pyrazine, botrytis, petrol and MLF narrow down the options quite a bit. Potential varieties include Savennieres Chenin Blanc, Alsatian Pinot Gris and Gruner Veltliner Smaragd. This is a very good, but atypical Verdicchio, from a biodynamic producer. It spends 7-8 months on the lees in stainless steel.

fresh on the nose with scents of kiwi fruit and apricot, crisp, light, flavors of peach, nectarine, pineapple and mineral, ripe yet balanced, weightless, seamless, ethereal, sunshine in the mouth, easy to sip on a summer day

Nose: lemon, minerals. Taste: bitter lemon, caramel, minerals, astringent in finish. Complex. Good with food.

Monthly Kermit Lynch tasting at Wine Wizards (Wine Wizards Stockton): Uncomplicated nose of white clover, this wine is crisp and balanced and is wonderful in the finish. At $25 a bit overpriced for fresh sipper but if you are buying I'll drink it.
