Retail $32. DIAM5. Yet another leftover from the Second Annual Largest Blind Tasting of American Pinot Noir back in November of 2019. I was a fan of this wine 18 months ago, and I still am. Tons of cherry on the nose with some black earth, a touch of vanilla, and some black pepper on the nose. The palate is appropriately fruity, but also balanced by a zingy acidity, with the aforementioned fruit, earth, and just a hint of anise. Very nice.
Reading reviews, there must be some bottle variance with this vintage. I’m with the higher scores. I have drank three from an 8 bottle purchase, and I have no “thinness”. I get a nice lower priced wine that has good strawberry fruit, with some mushroom/earthy backend, that’s well balanced and should drink well for 2-4 years. Decent QPR.

Very gentle on the nose, but the flavor is very pleasant with a hint of forest strawberry.

Very good Oregon Pinot. More French format but smooth and excellent berry taste.
