Lodi wines tasting event (Stockholm): Big and brawny, this feels like a well made version of the type of fruit forward Cabernet Sauvignon that went out of fashion a while ago. Dark fruited and oaky but with a point of balance nevertheless. If you like bbq, this is a very good alternative to the zinfandel wines from the same region.

Enjoyed this wine with appetizers. Nice mouthfeel, rounded, with a short finish. Fruit forward. First time trying this wine and the QPR is well worth exploring. Not bad for $20 to $25. Try some.

Jammy enough to put on toast, finish was concentrated blackberry cobbler.

A very solid Cabernet with traditional flavor and not sweet like some of the newer cabernets of Northern California
