Venue: Oinosence in Athens; General Notes: This one starts out garden floor, cool wet rock, salt air, and a hint of yeast. The bouquet might as well be wearing Birkenstocks. But then, on first bite, the only sensation from this natural Robola from Keflonia is the acidic minerality, effervescently racing right down the middle of the tongue (in this regard it is not unlike some Assyrtiko that I’ve had) and it, refreshingly, gives way to not much fruit - a little green mango and apple, perhaps, but mostly bitter greens. That Birkenstock is on the gas pedal of a souped up tuner car. mAd tYte, y0!!! ; Wine Notes: | Eco Style | Organic ;

Oinorama Wine Fair 2018; 3/10/2018-3/12/2018 (Zappeio): A bit earthy, showing ripe pear and green apple, same flavors in the palate, med to high acidity, med body and finish
