This is a decent bottle of wine for the $12 price. PNP. The nose is of cherries with hints of blueberries. As the wine opened up in the glass, there was the additional scent of oak. The first tastes were hints of fruit with a somewhat overbearing oak. Mild tannins and moderate alcohol. Not a lot of depth and a bit of a watered down taste.
It paired nicely with a braised short ribs in a tomato and red wine sauce served over noodles with parmesan cheese.
