For a 2017, a vintage that in my opinion has been hit and miss, this Pangkarra MH has been real pleasure to drink. Although my last bottle didn't show as well, this bottle lives up to expectations. Deep purple blue color with a violet floral nose. On the palate, solid. Elegantly ripened and extracted blueberry, boysenberry fruit, cassis and dark cherry fruits. The wine is full-bodied, yet graceful on the palate. A very nice bottle of wine that I should have saved for a special occasion. 95+/ 96 Points

Deep purplish ruby red. Well rounded nose with baking spices, lavender, metal and blackberries. Medium plus tannins (7.5/10) with a full body. Rich and dark palate with cassis, cinnamon, blackberries and a hint of earth. Long and lingering finish.

Not very high on this one. Sweet oak and out of balance extracted dark fruits. I think I prefer the regular MH or even the NV for this vintage, especially for the price.

Quite accessible at the 2-3 hour mark and held steady through the course of dinner. Blue fruits, dark cherry, cassis, roasted meat, with a lovely streak of minerality and earth. A powerful wine that is also elegant at the same time. Persistent finish that is as pleasant as it is long. Wonderful job with this wine in a tough vintage.
This should maintain itself or improve for at least 3-5 years without any issues, but drinking quite nicely at the 3 hour mark. 95+.

Decanted 2-3 hours and paired with NY Strip.
