Bright gold in the glass. Nose is aromatic, honey, apricot, ginger, cooked apple, a touch meaty and savoury. Complex and concentrated. High acid, with a fair whack of VA, loads of fruit though, apricot, lime, honey, grassy, green apple. Long, fresh finish, textured, but not tannic. Benchmark orange wine style. Drinking very well now, though this will keep nicely for 3-5 years. Perhaps not quite the depth of fruit on the palate for long-term ageing. Outstanding

Complex aromatics of marmalade, lavender, wild sage and tart tatin. It has a sweet fruit core and is surrounded by green apple and herbal freshness. The addition of 37% Muscat gives the wine real aromatic lift.

Screwcap, 12.7% alc. Cloudy, slightly burnt orange colour.
Deep, intense aroma of sea spray, orange peel, grass and saltbush, nuts, wafts of smoke, kero, cider.
Penetrating nutty, saline, lemon flavour Only medium bodied ,but very full of impact and savoury flavour. Decent length. Particularly clean finish.
Opinion: Very moreish; half a bottle disappears without intention. Great with food. Fantastic value for money orange wine.

Screwcap, 12.7% alc. 47% Semillon, 37% Muscat, 16% Riesling.
Bright gold, with a hint of African summer sunset.
Sea spray, lemon, orange peel, wax, cider, and lantana aromas.
Bone dry palate, built on fine, chewy, tannins, and medium weight. Finishing with excellent length and drive. Still holding up after 6 days open.
Opinion: Incredible value for money, as always. Doesn’t have the power of the 2016, but a very tidy wine, regardless. A must buy.
