Attractive, honeyed South African Chenin Blanc, though not as complex or textural as the best (especially given the price of this wine). Straw in the glass.
Full aromas of smoked honey, wax, grass and grilled pineapple.
Palate is full with robust acidity, warm alcohol and excellent length.
Palate adds spicy ginger, orange blossom and mineral stone. Almost sweet at times.
Can be enjoyed now or over the next five years.

Pale straw colour. Nose of moss initially, like a damp cellar. After a few minutes of air, nose held hints of citrus and apricots. Fresh mineral taste with notes of apple and lime. Nicely balanced and good length. A nice refreshing wine.

South Africa Masterclass with Gabrielskloof and Spioenkop (Zoom): Pale lemon with a slight greenish tinge, and star bright. Aromas that seem stony and mineral, with some salad leaves and underripe melon. Acidic, and a good fruity intensity, of quince and apricot, as well as orange blossoms, and a smoky minerality towards the back. A very long fruited finish. Great wine!

Very concentrated nose, with almost a hint of reduction. Very attractive palate. Very rich, almost caramelly lemon characters. Really delicious. Utterly integrated. (How can such a young wine feel quite so integrated?) Immense length.

Very good indeed! And in Mrs H's view outshone a Cartology Bushvines 2015 tasted earlier in the week.
