Last bottle, this was basically our COVID house Pinot, an end of an era, of sorts. Regardless, this was a good bottle, bacon fat, mushroom, coastal sage, strawberry-raspberry. A complete with with beginning, middle and finish. Medium-high acidity, savory, energetic mid-palate. Great finish, a bit of a Dr. Pepper character (not sweet, though), along with the umami-driven character.

Medium plus nose is herbal, orange peel, dried cherry, sage, vegetal hints. Palate is very fresh, bright, lovely fruit tones, terrific value for Pinot.

Same notes as previous: Picture perfect Santa Maria Valley (despite the SBC on the front label) pinot from Lane Tanner. Yes, lots of blackberry, but also herbal notes for what passes for garrigue in SMV, and good acidity and salinity.

Tasted blind. Med ruby. Clean, tart black cherry, ripe red cherry, a bit of stem, understated vanilla and oak spice. Dry palate, with nice fruit, high acidity, med tannins, med alcohol (13.2%). Med body, with med (+) flavor intensity and a med mineral-driven, savory finish. Classic Santa Barbara / Santa Maria PN profile. Still drinking well at 5 years, with several years left. Very good QPR.

Herbal and red cherry. Fruit appears somewhat subdued.
