  • A bottle I got for my aunt who’s from 1970 as well 😊Very surprised by how alive this still is! I now know why they often describe Nebbiolo as tar & roses!

From the beginning the age is of course very noticeable with a certain hint of oxidation in the nose. We did give it some air after initial tasting and from that point it really opens up with absolutely stunning integrated tannins.

Very subtle and elegant wine with red fruit, lively acidity. Tobacco and softened leather as well. Still very well-balanced!

  • 3 hours slow ox.
    Medium ruby garnet.
Beguiling mature nose, hawthorn, red berries, Oolong tea, blood orange, chinotto, baking spice, charcuterie, truffle, dark earth.
High acidity and moderate astringent tannin frame the the vibrant, lively palate, lighter end of medium bodied which has a juicy quality and contains all of the elements listed for the nose but is predominantly citrusy and mineral, quite long. Initial musty, tertiary elements dissipate with air and both nose and palate are quite kaleidoscopic with time in the glass, with purity and intensity building, both gentle and focused at the same time.
