I really like this wine. Well balanced, berries, some fruit, tannins, good mouth feel. And under $30. The nose does not stand out, but certainly not displeasing. Cheap enough to keep a case on hand to go with any meal.

Give it 30-45 minutes to open up. it’s not fruity and there is just enough tannins to give some structure. After it opened up there are subtle spice notes that are present.

Deep, dark reddish-purple in color; almost opaque. Full, forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, blueberries & cassis with overtones of earthy/dusty, floral & herbal notes, minerals, spices & a hint of oak/vanilla in the background. Medium-full bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, blueberries & plums with herbs, spices, minerals & oak/vanilla in the background. Lingering finish. Drinks quite well at present with decanting & extended airing but will develop further with some additional aging at which time it may merit a higher score (92+).

Rich, ripe, but balanced Oakville Cab. Blueberry, blackberries, dark chocolate. Nice concentrations, and softened tannins. Great wine, especially for the price.
