  • Plummy fruit notes with a bit of bitter on the finish. My wife prefers other roses we serve.

  • This is a pretty big/unctuous rosé, more Bandol/Palette than Provence in style.

Lots of fruit; peach, pink to red berry (strawberry and raspberry), orange; also quite floral with mixed white, orange, pink flower. Some cotton candy, almost carbonic character. A little bit of gingery spice and there’s a hint of salty mineral character but both are in the background. Glyceryl mouthfeel but enough energy to feel reasonably fresh (M to M+ acid) and not too heavy; some mild tannins.

My one complaint here is there’s too much alcohol and it shows on the palate, but overall this is really good and much more serious than the price would suggest.

A very good pairing with loobia polow and mast o khiar.

7.0/10 and would be higher if the alcohol were lower or just less apparent.
