Not bad but on this occasion it felt a bit flat, like it didn't have the depth and extra interest that I have found in earlier samples of Falkenstein. I will sample what I have still in the bottle during the coming days, mught update this note if there is positive evolvement.
Edit: I think the florality came out better on day three when I tried it the second time. I raise the score from 89 to 90. Vinous 94 seems really over the top.

A bit young but really good balance. Zippy acidity coupled with bright peach, lemon and a hint of petrol. The finish was very long with good mouthfeel and viscosity. Amazing value but will be better in 5+ years, only problem is if I can keep my hands off them.

A bit too tart at this point as the acidity is too prominent, needs time to integrate but am confident that 2-3 years down the one this will be better and after 10 years, excellent.

Reduction that becomes less obvious with air, but a little is still there on day two, leaving a beautifully fresh nose with lime zest, grapefruit, slate, green herbs, and florals. Gossamer in texture, this has a featherweight grace that dances on the palate. Complex and yet fleeting. Focused and filigree fine almost electric with a razor sharp clean finish that still seems to linger. A wine of rocks and acid more than fruit. Mouthwatering. You have to have an affinity for this style, and I do. 91
It gained a little focus and less sharpness overnight. Excellent wine in its style.

Drunk over two nights.
