Cork was a bit dry and crumbled (bought this on auction) but wine was still intact. Dark fruits was still present on the nose and palate, along with the expected secondary notes of cedar and vanilla, and the tertiary notes of earth, tobacco, an stone. This blend has held up well and adds some lovely subtle cocoa and spice to the mix. 18 year old Sonoma red blend for $40? No brainer.

Wow! What a nice surprise. Fruit still strong and full (blackberry, plum, cassis), full bodied, wish I had a couple more bottles but if you have some open one up, decant no more than an hour and then let ‘er rip. The wine looks garnet colored. There is no sediment in the bottle.

Nothing wrong, just very muted. Waited too long to enjoy all that it had to offer.

The drink by date was 2016, however, this wine was excellent. Full bouquet of dark fruits followed by a very smooth finish. I wish I had more.
