The wine is not dead yet to my surprise. Still has a little dryness bite to the tongue on the finish. Blackberry hints still in the body. Nose is a little musty basement on a hour sit.

What a lovely surprise; aging has done its magic. Blackberry on the nose, still get the alcohol 'hit' on the nose but not in the taste. Slightly dry, smooth, full, almost silky but with that subtle dry 'tut' (hmm how to describe tut-its a tongue thing?) a hint of smoke, lovely blackberry and no jammy here; very well integrated food friendly - a really lovely balanced Zin. Oh the challenges of having the talent to disguise this 'end result' in the early days so one could buy more-I continue to 'wish' :)

Well, 6 months seems to have done wonders for this wine. I TRULY ENJOYED it. Smoooooooth and silky. Great dark fruits and a hint of oak and tannins. Not hot at all as I previously reported back in Oct. 2008. Wish I had more.....

(Joel Gott Zinfandel) #4; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-dark; NOSE-chalk components; little dark chocolate; moist basement/laundry room aspect; TASTE-some blackberry; nice firm tannins; nice grip; little Hot, especially on the finish (very young); little disjointed; flavors are disjointed on the finish; GV-85

For the price, its a decent bottle of house zin. Don't expect anything fancy out of it. We let it breathe for an hour and it drank smoothly.
