PnP - pretty nice nose - cherry, a bit of spice, rose petal, granite, and light oak notes. Palate is very tight - cherry and oak. Loosened up some after two hours in the decanter and the palate became closer to the nose. Not bad, but pretty generic, and not one of Costco's QPR hits.

Second chance tasting in the past month or so. This time without food, and no aeration. Very much a solid wine, and especially for the price. There is a nice amount of refined upfront red and dark fruit. Last time I thought it was young and rustic. This time I think the acid is just slightly out of balance, and possibly manipulated. The young tannins leave a dryness on the palate, that almost any bite of food like a cracker or cheese would balance out.

I liked it but not as much as Trader Joe’s Casone red.

Overall solid option. Good flavors.

decent qpr but wasn't really impressed a bit thin and lacking complexity.
