Much like my last impression of this wine. The fruit is unmistakably California, dark blackberry in character. The licorice/mint spiciness is still quite evident. Chalky tannins add a bit of structure to it and it has just enough acid to get by. Quite fun at a BBQ, but unlikely to ever gain much in the way of complexity.

My best bottle, and unfortunately my last. Dark garnet color. The nose has very nice blueberry with some brighter strawberry fruit. There's also leather, black pepper, and just a touch of vanilla. Very nice, a beautiful drinker, not too heavy or candied, great balance.

Dark ruby red color. The nose has sweet blueberry, raspberry, leather, black pepper. Very fruity, a little candied, but balanced with acidity and spice. Tannins are light and smooth at this point. Delicious fruit, maybe a little shallow, but very enjoyable. Moderate length finish. Probably at peak now, I wouldn't hold these too much longer. These averaged $16 when I bought them, making this a screaming deal.

Dark berry fruit with a spicy overtone, some licorice and mint. Nicely balanced and very pleasant with food.

Dark fruit with minerals in the background. Good balance, silky in the mouth with nice tanins. Pleasant finish. Has aged nicely. A good everyday wine.
