  • suprisingly good. Starts out llively and complex with hard rock, background fruit, tension and then opens up over time with length, mineral, and extract. Really starting to come together. Lovely. The wine seems to be folding in over time from more of fruit bomb to a wonderful Corton Charlie.

  • great nose with mineral and earth. Less fruit that previous bottles but fantastic structure and hard mineral rock in a long and balanced mid-palate and finish. Perhaps some tropical fruit notes after the wine warmed.

  • dust light lemon on the nose. Palate initially very California with rich ripe fruit flavors, but then in the mid-palate the wine becomes Corton like with a rock hardness and a hard earth mineral finish. Not a pebbly finish or a rain water mineral finish, but a hard rock Corton finish. You could fool people with this bottle...

  • mineral nose. Starts out as a fairly classic Corton C with good powerful minerality on a long finish but as the wine opens the flavors border on the exotic with riper sweeter stone and tropical fruits. Perhaps even note of botrytis. Integrated or low amount of oak. Not unlike a riper Santa Cruz mountain chard. I will line up remaining bottles as I don't see this wine as an ager but still very enjoyable.
