Scratching the itch for a Grand Cru white Burgundy, I was greeted by an aromatic nose of honeysuckle, lemon and oak before an extremely complex palette of vanilla, butter, nuttiness, spices and subtle apple and minerality came into play. Letting it decant as we ate, the wine in our glasses had a long, lingering finish that was extremely robust and complex - truly a great example of younger Corton-Charlemagne.
