Reticent aromas of plum and lemon. Attractive palate of cassis with a hint of green pepper. Full puckery finish. Firm, tart, delicious. You can't do any better in the $10 price range.

color: bright purple fushia, transparent, looks younger than 3 years nose: med+ intensity, green notes ... spice, bell pepper, palate: med+ intensity, dry, acid is med () tannin med+ body med alc est 13 length med+ ...
Style note: very rich and well balanced Cabernet franc from Bourgueil, elegance dressed in its traditional rusticity.
Compared to the 2009 Baudry Chinon, (also given it is 2 years older) it has more depth, complexity, and finesse while still fitting in the drink early style. The flavors are brighter red fruit with dramatic undertones of black tea.

As noted by others, the acidity is harsh and overpowering on the 1st day. Much better on the 2nd day, and better still on the 3rd, when bright red berry fruit shows more and balances the acidity. Great value.

A bit harsh when opened but slowly starts to develop into a more subtle and elegant wine. Beautiful nose with bitter cherries, strawberries, cinnamon, clove, indian spices, and hints of white pepper. A bit tannic at first but not overwhelming. Nice minerals and acidity, very earthy. Very nice by itself and certainly great with chicken dishes. Unfiltered so be careful with those last sips.
