Decanted and drank over a few hours side by side with a 1999 Mintelena estate a Cabernet. Drinking nicely and in a good spot. Plenty of tertiary notes showing.

Wonderful nose of dark fruit and some herbal notes...got warmer as it opened...2 hours. Nice Dark entry currant and spice...long finish...still pretty fresh and alive. Just purchased 2 more.

very good shape for a 20yr + Napa cab. Could hold for another decade. Ripe and dark red fruits. Plum. Dried cherries. Velvet. Lots of pencil lead. Rich floral perfume of violets and lilac and roses. Fresh earth. Mouth filling. Far more balanced that bottles opened earlier. Sadly this is the last bottle.

This opaque red/garnet wine (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) was sampled from a well-cellared magnum. Despite being 20 years of age, it is a youthful "fruit bomb" that oozes black currants, Bing cherries, dark chocolate, allspice, espresso and creamy oak. Full-bodied and with low-to-medium acidity, it wraps its ripe flavors with plentiful fine-grained tannins. The wine's alcohol (listed as 14.7%) is nicely integrated and the middle palate is plump. Concluding with a lengthy, mouth-coating finish, this is a hedonistic Cab that, from magnum, will easily remain enjoyable for another decade. Drink now-2029.

Bitter chocolate nose, plum with cherry liqueur leads to a mature but not over the hill sip. Plenty of acid, the fruit is nice and ripe and tannin is mostly resolved on pop n pour. Well stored bottles should be great for 3-5 years but I feel like this may turn astringent if you let it run too long.
