  Not much change in terms of evolution or observations from the bottle tasted back in the Fall of 2012. Shy nose, little decernable fruit, diluted flavors, and not much finish. Light and delicate, easily overwhelmed by food which on this evening was sautéed tilapia fillets, and a mixed green salad. I'm not a Burgundy aficionado by any means, but I've had enough to know that this is very disappointing and non-descript, all factors considered. I've had better Bourgogne at $20 per bottle than this. IMHO not likely to improve.

  Decanted for two hours. Fragrance subdued at first, but opened up during the last few sips. Drank two glasses this evening. For the first glass, all flavor was overwhelmed by boiled herbs (the "green meanies"), slight acid, and a touch of heat. The second glass, drank an hour later, showed the same acid and slight heat, but the herbal notes faded very quickly. Flavors that followed were of cherry and a bit of earthiness, a bit subdued. Short to medium finish, not very complex.

  This is a case in point that because the label reads "Grand Cru" it doesn't guarantee quality! Highly disappointing given both the above average vintage and the well known producer. Cork showed signs of seepage along the sides; however, the wine was fine and was decanted for over an hour. Didn't see the bricking that others have reported; however, the wine was lighter bodied and had a very thin mouthfeel. Closed nose, and not much fruit. There were flavors of spice, herbs, and the characteristic terroir earthiness. Short finish. Probably should be drank over the next year; I doubt it will improve much. Really faded over the three hours it sat in the decanter.
