Screw N Pour, enjoyed over 2 nights - night #2 showing best. Pale straw with light green robe. Aromas are best expressed on night 2, with seashell, brine, estuary, citric zest and river rocks dominating. Palate is lively, but nothing overly engaging. The sauvage element might be too much for some. However, the spicy Semillon element that popped out on the second day seemed to really complete the wine. This is really built for food, not for show. Enjoyable with chicken and fennel cous cous with plenty of Sriracha, and worth the $16 tendered. Another year or so should see this along nicely. Drink thru 2015, 12,5% abv. I would re-purchase.

Not as satisfying as year's past, this nonetheless did manage to justify the $17 price-tag. 62% Sauv Blanc, 38% Semillon. Beeswax, citric zest, river rocks, African spice and dried herbs. The palate seems to be missing some of the tension I've come to enjoy with this bottling; the fruit, too, seemed to be missing some of its freshness. I will reserve judgment until after my next bottle. It worked OK with a traditional Jambalaya dish, but would have taken a backseat to the ideal beer in a heartbeat. Still, some past vintages have been quite enjoyable, more so when the reasonable price is considered. 12,5% abv, drink thru 2014

Ruth needed some white for cooking and decided to try with our shrimp and tomato dish. She says that it gets better every time she has it. Crisp and refreshing. It seems to be losing some of that sweetness that we noted in the earlier bottles. Maybe recorked in the fridge for a day helped.

Maybe this is a bit past its time but it seemed to be lacking something. I will try it again tomorrow and see.

Had this with some homemade fajitas. It really compliments spicy foods. Nice!
