Tasted at Taste Washington Red Willow Vineyard Seminar
'91 Block/South Chapel Block. Columbia is first to grow Syrah at RW so they have pick of blocks, but some have gone to other wineries over the years. Nose is deep violets, black raspberry, palate medium/light, smooth elegant wine, finish a bit short with a bit of heat. I kept coming back again and again to smell this wine. Gorgeous nose. 92-94

Roasty nose. Aromas of ripe berries, violets and cedar. On the palate, it has flavors of raspberry, florals, coffee and some pepper on the mid palate. Nicely structured with smooth tannins. Tasted at Winery

Tight when opened. Dark fruit, fairly bold tannins for its age, smooths out with time in the decanter. Could still lay down for a couple more years.

Pretty good syrah. Still a little primary. I would hold this for a few more years.
