Deep garnet. Explosive nose of sweet plum, blackberry seed, dark chocolate and menthol and graphite. Finely grained tannins go everywhere. Tight. Acidic. After three hours the fruit is just starting to expose itself... and the bottle is empty. Pity. I dunno. If you have this, wait a few more years, or decant.

some sediments, medium to low acidity, medium bodied, round tannins, loads of ripe fruit (gooseberry and blackberry), subtle wood and some minerality. very balanced. nice one. a lot better than the 2009.

Very nice new world red blend. Black fruit, currants, berries, oak and baking spice on the nose. Green tobacco/menthol and graphite. Smooth, but relatively short finish, medium tannins, very tasty.

Blackberry, cedar, & clove/allspice on the nose. Med tannins, smooth with a bit of candied fruit; additional notes of Xmas baking spices. Moth feel is full and reminiscent of popcorn butter in texture (not taste)--coats glass and tongue.

Viscous ink in the glass. Dark fruit, herbs, earth, tar and subtle graphite on the nose. Dark berries, herbs and cedar box on the palette. Excellent minerality and structure. Good mouthfeel. Long finish with some interesting turns. Opened up for over an hour. Impressive young, full-body blend that should go 94+ in ten years.
