  • Lots of black fruit with a luscious mouthfeel. Excellent balance with a everlasting finish. Cassis, chocolate , black cherry, blackberry and plum. Rich and silky smooth

  • A friend had the “little sister” Mila Cala and liked it a few years ago, which I introduced to them. So now we are visiting them in Atlanta and I thought why not drinking my last bottle of the “big sister”.

Just a short 5 min double decanted amd had it like an hour later with dinner. The wine is a medium to medium plus body, rounded and integrated tannins, smooth and silky, complex and great finish.

I’m happy that our friends Todd and Sharletta enjoyed it and My L and I did too! Good meal and then to finishing the night with a Dave Koz concert!

  • Drank in Grassl Cru.
Appearance is clear, very deep intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of smoky roasted bell peppers, red capsicums, blackberries, blackcurrant, blac plums. Developing.
On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13%), super smooth rounded plush high tannins, very full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of integrated vanilla milk oak, milk chocolate, dark currants, blackcurrant, black plums, blackberries, sweet baking spices. Dense long finish.
Good quality. Ripe and very oaked. Tons of ambition, commendable nice tannins, though overall lacks some finesse. Very clearly New World.
67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Cabernet Franc, 14% Carmenere and 2% Merlot.

  • Reminiscent of the 2010 - but not as much cooked mulled fruit
Tannins carry the fruit - PnP has a slight over extraction but not much - most likely needs to just open up
Out of the 4 tried(2013 to 2010) this one leaves you wanting more

  • Impressive Chilean red wine.
Tasted with slight airation in excellent glasses.
As nice as this was, I believe that it would show even better with a longer decant or a few more years in the bottle.
Beautiful cassis and leaf character on nose and very well balanced palate.
I would love to try this again in a few years.
