Fairly one note wine - tons of grapefruit on the nose and palate. Tropical fruits dominate without much backbone. A fine porch pounder for the price or a wine you don't need to think about too much, but not an exemplar of the style.

12.5% alcohol; imported and bottled by Nobilo Wines, Healdsburg (and San Miguel), California; screw top, fragrant grapefruit; fast to medium legs, light yellow with a slight greenish tint; opened and tasted about 10 minutes later at 11 degrees C in a glass designed by Riedel for Chardonnay, nose less grapefruity than the metal cap, more toward pears and kiwi; full bodied, this isn't a casual sipping wine but has a serious, assertive character that persists the full length of the tongue and into the long finish; it is evidently a fruit that doesn't really exist in nature but has similarities to pears, grapefruit, and blackberries that are not quite ripe; pair it with lunch sandwiches or with a burger and fries, I'm thinking here of one of the Five Guys' creations, helped along by fat Virginia peanuts while waiting for your order

Seriously grassy, industrial profile. Worked better with food than by itself.

Medium-bodied. Mildly acidic. Apples and peaches on the nose.
