Coming of age at year 5, and will get better. Dark red and plum fruits, with some tar and licorice. Firm structure of dusty tannins and medium acidity. Terrific value at $22. Later vintages double that so enjoy this one for another 5 years.

This deep ruby wine is an approximate blend of 80% Grenache, 12% Mourvèdre and 8% Syrah. Decanted through an Vinturi aerator and serially tasted over the ensuing 2-3 hours, it reaches its aromatic plateau after the first 90 minutes in carafe, unfurling a package of red bramble fruits, pomegranate, smoked meat, garrigue and sassafras. Medium-bodied, fresh, softly oaked and with well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.5%), it delivers flavors mirroring the aromas, wrapping them with a modicum of soft-textured tannins. Dense in the middle and medium-to-long on the back end, this is a Châteauneuf that performs far above its pay grade. Drink now-2028.

Delicious CDP. Medium body, dark red and prune fruit with violet and slate notes. Smooth with soft tannins and moderate acidity. Nice density of flavors, but not complicated. A steal at 25 bucks.

Plums and pepper along with sturdy tannin this wine is juicy and delicious. Not an expert on these French styles but I like this one a lot it passes the smell test

Good fruit, balance. Good body. Will be better with another year or so I think.
