Very tight at this stage. Tannic, very little fruit on the palate to balance it. more friendly on day 2 with subtle fruit and iron notes. Let the other bottles rest for a few years. Serve with heavy food like a seared steak, don’t drink by itself.

Starts a little briary then smooths a bit. Dusty tannins, med-high acidity. Hollow flavor profile, hints of red and blue berry. A little iron comes in as it opens up. One good thing is it is not overly sweet and briary like some Washington. Day 2: much better. Smoothed out, dark fruit profile with iron and leechee, medium body with pleasant dusty tannins. So give it some time in cellar or open ahead and decant.

Burgundy style, with forward silky tannins balanced with controlled but nicely present raspberry/pomegranate fruit and earth/mineral/black tea notes. Delicious.
