Rich, dark, succulent, with ripe, sweet tannins. This requires, and deserves, an hour or two of air. At a modestly priced Grand Cru in a modest vintage it more than delivers. vg+

Similar to the 1987 Ponsot, this was funky at opening, which blew off to reveal purple fruit, wood and leaf with lots of heat. 92
