Vanilla oak dark cherry notes rounded off with a finish of cassis minerality and fine tannins… Clearly a wonderful wine but the $125 price of admission leaves me questioning QPR of Cali wines vs French Bordeaux… Actually the question is answered…Napa cab is overvalued…

This is a very solid smooth wine- good color, integrated tannins and alcohol on the palate- good blue fruit taste with slight cedar. On aeration getting some menthol notes which I do not like but seems to even out. Overall a great wine!!

Took to a social bubble dinner for outdoor dining. Only the 2nd time eating at a restaurant in the last year. No decant but was delicious out of the bottle. Dark red fruit with vanilla and tobacco with a light touch of mineral notes mixed in. Smooth and paired well with the food. Was the best wine of the night.

This is drinking nicely now but will clearly benefit with more time. Easily 93+ going forward.
Tons of vanilla and dark cherries on the nose. This is a full bodied beauty. Nice lushness in the mouth. Tannins are relatively smooth at this point but need more time.. Great minerality here. Cherries, baking species, tobacco. Nice long finish leaves you going back for more.
Really nice effort by Mike Smith on this one. Big fan of the Becklyn line up.

Still excellent wine- a bit mustier than before. Good expression of Mike Smith wine.
