40-minute decant. We just love this type of Meursault. Lovely nose of vanilla oak and lemon citrus with underlying orchard fruit. Very generous on the palate with very nice length. Great balance; nice weight. While the 1er Crus are more complex, this just beautiful. At nearly 9 years of age it still has more to offer… though it won’t get any better, I don’t think.

Opened 2 hours ahead; best at cooled cellar temperature as it slowly warmed. Fragrant, lively, and refined. Much too good for village level. Lemon-lime, tart apple, hints of underlying iodine/anise. Lingering finish. Excellent. 91-92

Being a fan of 2014 I was not very optimistic opening this bottle, but I was wrong ! It needed 2 hours decanting and is a very serius villages Meursault, it remained very good for three days. Lovely wine with good mineralty and very precise, and not "fat" in a bad way.

Drinking very nicely with 30-45 mins air. Good acid and minerality to keep for a while.
