Wine served at dinner while staying at the Vintage House in Pinhao, Portugal (Douro Valley). Very much enjoyed this wine on a hot summer's eve in the Douro. Table side notes are very limited, with light coloring and a pear-like element on the nose and palate. Enjoyed this wine, but never had this varietal before. Nice and maybe a point higher.

Extremely light color. Nose has a ripe red apple aroma steaming from the glass. Interestingly, the palate doesn't show any substantial Apple but instead strong ripe pear. It has a medium plus weight for a white wine but there is enormous acidity which makes it very sharp on the finish. Very raw lime note. Don't think I've ever had such polar opposites but intriguing for sure. Perfect pairing for a seafood dinner and a counter balance to any amount of butter. We'll be loading up this for the summer. Strong QPR @ $12.

I love this wine and a phenomenonal QPR at $12. very light color with a touch of green. pear on the attack but very light and not sweet followed by bracing acidity and strong lime and lemon rind. very clean. excellent.

I went to add a note until I read Brig's, which is just perfect.
