Dark Purple. Too smooth, with an almost syrup like mouth feel and very, very, simple juice flavors. Boring. Perhaps this bottle was flawed? I didn't get hardly any of the tannins that others were speaking of.

Brought this on a road trip and shared with friends. Unfortunately when I broke it out, the cork had seepage. I thought it was going to be a gonner, but it was great, and everyone loved it! Nice dark fruit, nice tannins, and nice long finish. I would estimate a few more years in the bottle would do it good, but wasn't going to take the risk after seeing the seepage.

Opaque inky purple color. Aromas of cassis, blackberry, violets, potpourri and brown sugar. Firm tannins, with plenty of oak too. Blackberry brandy, cassis, black cherry, spice and chocolate flavors on the palate. Medium finish. Has the potential for another point or two as the tannins soften. Hold until 2014+.

Dark Purple colored. Slow legs, scent of Blackberry, Black currant (cassis), and Mineral.Black currant and fruit taste - not citrus. Medium body with Satin-like texture and medium finish. Considerably smoothed out and opened after about an hour in the bottle - second day after vacuum seal was even smoother. Holds well for a second day.

Smooth, deep, a bit complex. Very nice with richer food, but also very nice by itself.
