NobleRottersSydney - Christmas Lunch 2017 (Geoffrey's place): {screwcap, 13%} [Aaron] Mid yellow Gentle nut and fig aromas and flavours, but the palate is much less oaky than the nose implies. Seems like the medium weight comes from some malo-lactic ferment component as much as from fruit weight, which isn’t so evident. Even on the palate, but just a bit dilute maybe? Seems like a warmer vintage. Ready to drink.

Very subdued nose, with hints of yeasty, creamy lees. Palate shows intense flavours of lemon oil and apple, with hints of oak (vanilla) and lees. Good, but fruit flavour too intense; needs time to settle down.
Two bottles tasted: one under cork, one under screwcap. Very little difference between the two.
