Mostly similar to the previous tasting. Colour is quite developed with a strong deep yellow. Pongy nose pointing to some age and perhaps some oxidisation. Fruit is dropping out in the palate leaving a residual caramel woody note. Not unpleasant, just a bit incomplete. Very much drink now.

Golden yellow in colour, the nose is full and ripe with peach, melon and honeyed oak inputs.
The palate is big and broad with stone fruits combining with butterscotch oak and a slightly bitter grapefruit like astringency. The acid is starting to become out of balance with the rich creamy palate on the finish, with the best years behind this wine. Review Link - www.winereviewer.com.au (drink from 2012-2013)

A wine I've always wanted to try. It's good that Dalwhinnie have preserved with chard in an area that doesn't really spit out any decent ones. Drinking about for a 6 - 7 year old with a developed golden yellow hue, and a oak driven nose of the caramel kind (almost a touch varnishy). Palate is similar but holding good acidity. Fruits are subtle and the sweetish oak note is forceful but within my tolerance. Some pongy and slightly oxidative fruits as well.
