Dark to the rim. No signs of bricking. Nose shows strong cab franc notes of green bell pepper and spice, but also shows some dark cherry notes and black fruit. Nice.
Palate is complex, shows the cab franc with some briery notes, blackberry, touch of tannic bite, a little bell pepper mid-palate and white pepper on the finish.
This had a longer life ahead of it. Well done.
Would buy again.

Delicious complex Washington red with a bright minty opening similar to some great Napa reds I drank five decades ago. It went very will with a beef stew. It is holding up very well, but I think it is not a long keeper from here. Enjoy!

Mothers Day. Decanted 2 hours. Always one of our favorites. Scent of a mature rose. Dark cherry homemade jam. Leather. Unfolds in the back of the mouth. It won’t get any better so drink it now.

(Baer Winery Ursa Red Wine Stillwater Creek Vineyard Columbia Valley) A very perfumed wine with abundant floral notes, chocolate, dark fruit, toasty oak spices, and a light herbal tone. The palate has rich, dark luscious fruit flavors and abundant floral tones with firm, chalky tannins. A long, lingering finish. The oak influence is prominent right now. Give a year or two to integrate to see it at its best. 44% Cabernet Franc, 38% Merlot, 9% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 9% Malbec. Aged 19 months in French oak (84% new). 14.5% alcohol. 981 cases produced. Sampled at 61 degrees.

Still going. Beautiful dark ripe fruit after about 45 minutes. I venture this will still be wonderful for at least 2 more years.
