Rich and complex with stone, orchard, and citrus fruit coming through at various points in the evening, but in a slightly more mature combination than most previous bottles.

(at Vito's - Baltimore) Excellent weight though a bit muted. Corn husk and yellow plums. Lacking a bit of bang. Have some left and will try tomorrow. (90) This wine is more impressive on day 3. While still rich and weighty, things have filled in. More explosive creating a better sense of life and balance. Now closer to (92)

Chassagne-Montrachet Morgeot Tasting (The Moll House - Chicago IL): Alongside the 2014. Rich and unctuous with Grand Cru-like density. Peach, apple, lemon curd, this is layered and complex with sneaky good power and length. Lingering finish. Almost as good as a magnum of this wine opened a few months ago, just not quite as fresh or bright.

Casual dinner at Testacio: Beautiful smoke, mineral and ripe orchard aromas. Rich mineral laden fruit with lots of stuffing and bright mineral acidity. Seamless and so fresh. In a peak window.

Dinner at Testaccio (Chicago, IL): Very, very big. I overall liked the material here, but I found the oak to be too prominent overall. This didn't have any of the fabled Ramonet mint, nor the egg custard note that I personally find with Ramonet. The freshness and vivacity of this wine was deadened by the heavy oak use; there's a slight bitterness on the finish as well from it. A bit of a shame, really.
