Bright ruby, berry fruit on the nose, medium-bodied, a hint of astringency that dissipates with air, a wine that calls out with gusto: Me, Me, Me—I’m the one you should drink!

This terroir if down the hill from clos de la roche, it's more alluvial, it has more clay than up the hill, and is warmer, so expectedly the wine is richer, fatter and less mineral. On the lower slopes the vines yield more... I have to say that Lignier michelot does extract a bit too much for this kind of terroir and for my taste, and although the material is good, it results in an unbalanced wine, too sweet and too oaky for my taste. Reminded me of the super soak me tea served in airplanes...some more tea ? asks the flight attendant...

Magnificent blend of adroit lightness and and focused power. Lovely, fresh and fragrant with surprising weight and finish.

Meaty and savoury on the nose.
Easy to drink on palate.
