Deep ruby red with light intensity. Straight from the bottle there were gamey notes, a little dirty and burnt matches. After an hour or so it opened up with some earthy notes and crushed berries. Palate was started off savory with some powerful acidity and red cherries. A little crisp and tangy. Day two added some boysenberries and darker cherries. Moderate tannins (6.5/10), medium bodied and dry moderate plus finish. Drink till 2018.

Nicely spiced Shiraz. Especially for a blind purchase

Different. Significant acidity, tangy. Almost a carbonated mouth feel. Not sure I'd buy more at the $18 clearance price.

Not your typical Australian Shiraz. Doesn't overpower you with fruit. Nice balance.

Warm, earthy, slightly funky. "Boysenberries trampled into the earth" from label. Nicely juicy, supple. Easy, but substantial. Good.
