Guessed gewurz, NZ, but thought South Is blind and Vinoptima.
Not far off but the age got me. This is one backwards aging wine. Very youthful, the cork gods kind.
Light yellow gold.
Still years left in the tank, but it is developed and ready to drink now.
An outstanding example of this variety that can often get too big and lose focus.
Full bodied, rich and sweet but exceptionally well balanced. The acidity really balances the sweetness and rich flavour, and alcohol is in check.
Very long. All in check and true to style from the first sniff of rosewater and rambutan. A lovely savoury turn of apricot kernel through the middle and finish.
This is one of those push and pull wines that leave you feeling like you've been on a new and exciting journey. Dramatic and sophisticated.
When gewurz is this good it's so very memorable and puts you back in to the hunt for more.
Outstanding. Thank you Fanblade and A for sharing. Totally meets and pops with Chinese deep fried cabbage rolls.
Outstanding, now to 5 years if a good cork and we'll stored.

This is one of the best Gewurz I have ever had! The fruit was unctuously focused. The structure and balance were great, and had a hint more acidity than Alsatian Gewurz, which really lifted the flavors. The long finish had some slatey flavors. I shopped for more, and bought a couple of 2020 bottle

Praelum - The Lord of the Wines (Praelum Wine Bistro): Sweet, but still light and lifting. Very pronounced lychee cake on the nose, and the lychee followed through to the palate and finish. Quite enjoyable
