This is always so good and was in a great place on the night we drank it. Lots of the typical orange wine notes as described by others: tea, florals, and wax, but with a fullness and balance that few skin contacts achieve. Great acidity, but not over the top, with hints of sweetness and smoke. To me, this is consistently Donkey and Goat's best offering, and, as a Berkeley kid, it's the only one that will make me leave the confines of Broc Cellars and walk next door to pick up a few bottles.

Deep dark golden color. Nose rich, beeswax honey and florals with strong citrus notes, some carbonated apple cider aromas. Palate rounded, good acidity and a hint of peppery bite, golden fruits, overall really nice, looks and tastes like an orange wine/skin contact wine with a lot of substance, goes very well with both rich and spicy foods. 91 pts

Deep golden hazy orange. Nose of orange blossom, fresh peach, dried apricot, earl grey tea, and baking spice. Strong flavors of tea and mandarin orange with a nutty spicy and slightly salinic finish. Light weight but meaty, textured, and backed by strong tannins.

Drinking very well -- nice to compare with other Roussanne wine -- stronger fruit taste, generally agreeing with other reviewers on this one

Tree fruits, wet stone, granite, funk. Good minerality and acidity. Really interesting while still being drinkable.
