Consumed over 2 days (stored in Somm du Vin), note from day 2. Appearance: Clear, medium ruby-garnet with slight edge browning. Nose: Clean, medium+ intensity with developing aromas of black cherry, cinnamon, brown sugar, leather, and allspice. Palate: Dry, medium acid and tannin, medium body, medium intensity, 13.3% abv with developing flavors of cinnamon, black cherry, leather, and allspice with a medium+ finish.
Even better than the improved bottle opened 2020. Really coming into its own now. Not anywhere near the end of its drinking window. Deep fruit, excellent balance and color. Perhaps it might deserve the high reviewer scores after all.

My penultimate bottle of this elegant Pinot Noir from Anderson Valley. Aromas of strawberry, cranberry, mushroom, and dust. Smooth and tart on the palate and seems to have lost the vegetal quality I noted last time, or maybe there's just a lot of bottle variation going on. Regardless, this was in a very sound place right now.

Overall, an excellent still a year or two from peaking. Can drink now, better in 1-2 years and 2-4 beyond.

Lighter body. High toned. Cranberry/Cherry. Sneaky good.
