Can’t get enough of this juice from Stags Leap. Floral aromatics with red cherry, and raspberry. What a gorgeous wine on the palate. Silky tannins carry flavors of black and red fruit with tasty minerality through a lengthy finish.

Decanted for 3 hours. Bold floral aromas with plum, blackberry and crushed rocks. On the palate, raspberry, plum, dark chocolate and a nice minerality. Tannins are firm and relatively smooth (although not silky). 30-second finish. I’m holding on to my last bottle for at least a couple of years.

Soft front palette, big strawberry mid-palette that hits you in the cheeks, strawberry finish too (which is a surprise). Turns peppery as it opens up, and the finish turns to oak and tobacco.

Gave this about an hour to breathe. Also opened 2014 Pott Actaeon and Realm Moonracer.
This struck me as much more of an Old World style. Damp earth. Blacker fruit. Some herbs. Cedar. Very layered on the finish.
Not quite the pizazz that jumped out of the Realm, but more polished (especially on the finish) compared to the Pott.
This showed a lot of great notes after minimal air. That said, can no doubt age for a while.
