72% Granache, 28% Mourvedre from old vines in Barossa. Med ruby. Black cherry, black plum, dried herbs, Asian spices. 15 mos. in 3-y-o French barriques. The nose is developing. Dry, with med acidity and med, resolved tannins. The 15% abv does not seem that high, but best served a little cool. Smooth, med to med + body, with med flavor intensity and length. Still drinking well after 6 years, but I don't think it is going to improve much with further aging. A steal in the low $20s, decent QPR in the low $30s.

The name really says it all about this - it is about spice, strawberry and fresh acidity. Just not quite the earthiness you might expect.
Still a nice drop
