“Stephen & Prue Henschke’s Lenswood Vyd was planted in the mid-1980s. Harvested 3/11 – 21; Matured in 31% new & 69% seasoned FR barriques for 10 mos prior to blending & bottling; 13% ABV, 6.2 g/L T.A., & 3.51 pH;”
N: Cherries, oak/smoke, some flowers? With air added spice & intensity
P: Med body; Almost swtish frt on front attractively buttressed by acidity. NICELY balanced with a LONG, very slightly astringent finish. [Popped 'n poured this screw cap bottle, the wine seeming to improve with air.]
Day 2 N: Berries with spice (cloves, poss nutmeg?) on top
Day 2 P: Med body; Almost swtish frt counterbalanced by crisp acidity; LONG, very slightly astringent finish, which is not at ALL an issue with food. 95 pts ea Suckling & Halliday, and 92 The Wine Front (Mattinson, 4/11/17).
Note: 1st tasted on 12/17/16

P: Med body; Almost swtish frt on front with TANGY acidy quickly kicking in. Nicely balanced & VERY long, with very fine tannins & ACIDITY currently firming the finish. While this should be excellent now with food, give it 'til mid '18, poss '19, & I'd suspect it will be OUTSTANDING! My first ever Aussie P.N., so I **did** luck out to taste such a very, VERY nicely made one! :) Yet another +, IMO: only 13% ABV! Suckling 95 pts, Halliday also 95 (didn't read the latter) [My score takes into account the relative QPR of this vendor's VERY competitive $38.95]

Vanilla notes on the pallette with smooth tannins and lovely aromas of strawberry. Would love to see how this ages

Cherry with a touch of barnyard and raspberry
Solid, attractive Victoria-like PN with appealing soft acidity. Cherry, a little spice and lingering bite on finish
