Drinking well. Decanted 1.5 hrs then drank over another 2 hrs.
All in a nice drink. In top form with no sign of decline, should last a long while. Although last glass may have started to dry out.
Had some decent cab characteristics, positive notes of cigar, tobacco and cedar, yet a bit big and alcoholic kinda bomb. So then of course one thing leads to another and the result is a monolithic characteristic with a boring echo throughout. Missing complexity. Kinda hollow if that makes sense.Fine to drink in a crowd but I wouldn't want or couldn't drink more than a glass despite this coming from my wine cellar! Last glass had a peppery spice thing going on which reminded me of syrah, really strange.
Typical Napa over the top and over hyped over done / over the top from some idiot wine maker who over extracted the juice taking away from the essence of what it could be. Should have and could have been better.
I used to love these back in the day some 20+ years ago. Then i discovered Bordeaux. Thank you Robert Parker and Antonio Galloni for helping ruin the wine industry.

An easy 96+ points. Highly recommend, drinking spectacularly even without a formal decant (pre-poured into glasses ~ 45 minutes prior to initial consumption and this worked well) and still has years to go with proper cellaring although I see little additional upside in significant further cellaring - drink or hold but heavily leaning on the drink. Deep purple, some peripheral bricking, soft texture and pleasant mouth feel, very well integrated with a long lingering aftertaste. Nose initially muted but opened up very nicely with balanced dark stone fruit, a hint of dust, coffee and baking spices. Flavor profile darker, complex and well integrated with dark stone fruit and classic cassis up front including plum and dark cherry followed by onset of of tar, stone, graphite and a beautiful smokey finish.
