At Culina. An excellent 1er Cru - this is consistently one of the better whites in Jadot’s portfolio, and this particular bottle showed off the charms of the 2017 vintage in white Burgundy really well. The nose was very inviting, with plump white fruit and apples shading into riper melon territory, these lightly kissed with floral accents and flecks of chalky mineral. It was on the palate where this really impressed me though - already firing on all cylinders, it showed a lovely amount of plump depth in its notes of ripe apples and fleshy white fruit lined with an equally impressive spine of fine extract, acidity and minerality, all lending a lovely sense of cut and juicy definition. A lovely, just very slightly creamy mouthful, yet impeccably balance and very food friendly. Nice finish too, with a good lick of mineral and another hint of florals drifting away in a very satisfying manner. Lovely stuff, drinking well now, but with its best years still ahead of it. This will do well over the next decade and maybe a bit beyond.

Surprisingly accessible. Beautiful balance of granite minerality and lush apple and lemon. Will last a while - no rush to drink

Diam cork, FYI. Very nice Chardonnay. Yellow fruited and medium weight on the attack and lighter showing at the finish.
