Nice acidity, a bit of anise. Tannins are not well hidden, but rather coarse. Not much complexity or length. The wine starts to fall apart only after a few hours after opening.

Decanted 30 minutes. A little over 2 years since my last bottle, this is now well inside its drinking window. Pretty red floral aromatics, with earthen notes in the background. Simple and easy to enjoy now, this made for a nice comparison with 2006 in terms of vintage characteristics. Drink thru 2013, 13,0% abv.

No decant but not much fruit in the nose. Agree with Pikemaster that the wine is thin and has a minimal finsh. Hope it just the bottle!
