Blackberry and black olive on a medium frame, with a big mineral anchor. Good acidity and a fair amount of tannic bite. Lean overall, and feels slightly angular, not quite fully balanced.

PnP. Blackberry, plum, herbs, some meaty notes, a bit of pepper. It still tastes like northern Rhone syrah, but I'm not quite as enamored as I was when I last tasted this in 2/2021. But it's still a very nice and a great value. My last bottle of this vintage.

Appealing nose with notes of blackberry. On the palate, more blackberry and dark fruit but not overpowering. Pleasant touches of mineral and herb. The resident Rhône fan loved it, but even the non-Syrah-lover liked it!

Deep ruby. Moderately intense aromas of dark fruit, plum, earth, mint. Dry, with elevated acidity and moderate tannins. Medium-bodied, 12°, but concentrated fruit and fairly long. Not an aristocrat but definitely an adult. Develops nicely in the glass and plays well with lamb chops.

Nice and olive-y and blackberry-y but earns a demerit or two for a bitter, chalky tannic taste/feel towards the finish.
